Hi Alyssa! What's it like working with Holly Marie Combs and Shannen Doherty?
It's great, but the directors must hate us, because we get uncontrollable giggles. We'll get through a scene then someone will crack upand we'll have to start again. When we started, I felt like a real pro. Because I had done theatre, my concentration never broke, but the girls made it their mission to break me!
So there's no rivalry between you and Shannen?
I hate to dissapoint everyone, but Shannen and I are great friends. If we weren't getting along, everyone would know. The three of us are like sisters and since none of us have real-life sisters, we've adopted one another.
Do you think Charmed sends a positive message to it's viewers?
Yes. It think it's cool that a lot of shows have strong, independent young women taking control of their lives.
Is it difficult to film the sequences where you're fighting a demons?
Yes! The director stands off to the side, pretending to throw things at us so we gasp in fear, We're so embarassed, we make the crew turn their backs while we tape those scenes.
Do you get invites to lots of celeb parties and premieres?
When I get invitations to movie premieres, I'm like, why bother? If I see a movie, I want to put on my sweats and get popcorn. I don't see the point of dressing up to see a movie.
How would you describe yourself?
I'm incredibly earthy,loyal and dedicated to my work-to an extent. I love what I do, but when it gets to the point where it takes up every facet of my life, I'll move to a ranch in Canada.
You were once engaged to Scott Wolf. Is it hard to talk about him?
It's not sad to talk about it. I was 22, I wanted to get married and he backed out. And thank God he did.
Actors are an insecure breed. It's hard to have your career depend upon other people's opinions. I think a lot of actors get married so they won't be alone and insecure. I wanted to marry Scott to have a home and feel stable.
Can you remember your first kiss?
I had my first crush on a guy in school and when I kissed him, he punched me so hard, I had a black eye!
What do you like best about boys?
I love boys! I love how they think they're different from us and how they're not. I'm turned on by an attractive man who is not afraid to look like an idiot.
Do you want to be a mum one day?
Everytime I decide I want to have a child, I get another animal. I have two dogs, eight birds and three horses. Does that tell you anything?
How many tattoos do you have?
Six. I have a fairy on my hip, a Hindu peace symbol on my left wrist, an OM on my other wrist and rosary beads on my back. I have a chain of roses on one ankle and an angel holding a cross with the initials SRW on the other ankle. The intitials used to be Scott's but now I tell people it stands for Single Rad Woman.
Describe your typical day.
I wake up at 5 am and do the treadmill for half an hour. Then I go to work. I'm on the set for 10 to 14 hours. We have a lot of fun. But,I'm exhausted at the end of the week.
Sounds like you lead a hectic life!
I've always believed in experiencing everything in life. When you walk out with blinders on, you cut yourself off from the angels and the fairies.
